eAccounts FAQ

 

What is an eAccount?
An eAccount is a one card system attached to a declining balance account which allows you to use your UArts ID to access your meal plan and pay for resources at the School Store, the Imaging Labs, in the dining areas and at various departmental resale shops. Your eAccount can link to a debit card and allows your parents or other guests to make deposits.

What are UArts$?
UArts$ are funds which have been added by you, a member of your family or other guest to your eAccount that are separate from your meal plan.

What are the differences between Dining Dollars and UArts$?
Dining dollars are included with purchase of select meal plans and can only be using in dining areas. You cannot purchase or add additional funds to dining dollars, however you CAN use UArts dollars to purchase meals once your dining dollars run out.

How do I create an eAccount?
Login to the portal and under the QuickLaunch Navigation on the left, click E-Accounts and click the word E-Accounts. When eAccounts opens, click the Register button.  More detailed instructions can be found in the portal under the eAccounts link.

How do I link my eAccount to my ID card?
Once you log in to your eAccounts account, click on Profile and then Transaction System Registration. Enter the requested information and click Register.  Your customer number and your card number are the same as your 7 digit UArts ID, which can be found on the front of your ID card. More detailed instructions can be found in the portal under the eAccounts link.

How do I know if my ID card will work with eAccounts?
If you are a freshman, sophomore, have a received a new ID card within the last two years, or if you currently use a meal plan, your ID card is set up for using.  If you have an older ID card you will need to get a new one from Student Financial Services.

Where do I go for help with eAccounts?
If you need help with setting up an eAccounts, questions about your account, refunds, cashing out your account, or your card is not working please reference the resources below.

 HelpDesk – If you are having trouble creating your account or adding funds, contact the HelpDesk at (215)717-6677.

Student Financial Services – For any financial questions regarding your account, to cash out money on your card, card reprint, and card encoding problems, visit the Student Financial Services Office in Hamilton 270.

Student Services – For questions regarding meal plans, or general questions if your card is not working, visit Student Services on the third floor of the Gershmann Y.

Refunds – Please visit the department where the purchase was made for a refund. Please refer to that departments refund policies.

What should I do if I am using FreedomPay?
Start to spend down your balance on FreedomPay. Set up an eAccount and start to add funds to the eAccount instead. Please reference FreedomPay's terms for collecting your balance.
